AMMB Holdings Bhd. is an investment company, which engages in the provision of retail banking, wholesale banking, investment banking, Islamic banking, and related financial services. It operates though the following segments: Retail Banking, Business Banking, Wholesale Banking, Investment Banking, Fund Management, Insurance, and Group Funding and Others. The Retail Banking segment offers products and financial solutions which include auto finance, mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, small business loans, priority banking services, wealth management, remittance services, and deposits. The Business Banking segment includes enterprise banking customers encompass Capital Expenditure (“CAPEX”) financing, working capital financing, cash management, contract financing, development loans, and project financing. The Wholesale Banking segment comprises corporate banking and group treasury and markets. The Investment Banking segment involves in the investment banking solutions and services, encompassing capital markets (primary) activities, broking, private banking services, corporate advisory and fund raising services (equity and debt capital). The Fund Management segment deals in the asset and fund management services, offering a variety of investment solutions for asset classes to retail, corporate, and institutional clients. The Insurance segment gives general insurance products, namely motor, personal accident, property, and household. The Group Funding and Others segment consists activities to maintain the liquidity of the Group as well as support operations of its main business units and non-core operations. The company was founded on August 5, 1975 and is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
